MY THOUGHTS
My main issue with this book was that it was a big pile of drama.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, I'm not a big fan of drama filled books. They make me angry, frustrated, and annoyed at the main characters' stupid decisions. I admit it, I picked up this book without knowing anything about it and if I read the synopsis, I would have known that this would be a drama book.
As I said, I was annoyed by all the characters. They were constantly making stupid decisions, usually involving guys. And this book takes place in only a week, but some of these girls go through so many guys in that amount of time! The entire book basically focuses on all the boy relationships that the four girls go through.
The book has four points of view: Savannah, Courtney, Peyton., and Madison.
Savannah is the youngest of the three sisters and is the naive one. She's a sweet girl, but as I said, she is naive and she sees this whole thing as an adventure.
Courtney is the middle child and is the responsible one. She was my favorite point of view. Not only because she wants to eventually get a job in book publishing (as I also want to do), but her romantic relationship was the least confusing, though forbidden, and was the only one I actually rooted for.
Peyton is the oldest and the rebel of the family. She did really irritate me in the book in the beginning, but she eventually grew on me.
Madison is the mean girl. She irritated me. She saw the Diamond's as if they were ruining her life and she was the main central reason for the drama. My main reason that I was upset by her was that she constantly blamed the Diamond's for messing up her life, when she was doing that herself.
On another hand, there were hints that Mr.Diamond was keeping secrets, but we never get these secrets answered. It wouldn't bother me that much, except it's mentioned in the beginning and never mentioned again.
IN CONCLUSION
Don't get me wrong, this was entertaining at times, but I am not a fan of drama and it's impossible to ignore in this book. I probably won't continue the series, mostly because I don't have the willpower to go through more drama.
