REVIEW: Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares
“I’ve left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”

So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

Rachel Cohn and David Levithan have written a love story that will have readers perusing bookstore shelves, looking and longing for a love (and a red notebook) of their own.

WARNING: The following "review" will make no sense whatsoever. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

As you could probably tell by the cover (or maybe the synopsis) this book takes place around Christmas time. This book was just so awesome that I completely thought that is was Christmas time (as in winter break, since it would have been obvious that it wasn't Christmas. Even though there are Christmas trees in my living room...in October). But the point is, I THOUGHT IT WAS CHRISTMAS TIME!! And I forgot it was a Saturday and messed the new episode of the only T.V. show I watch (Doctor Who). BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS CHRISTMAS TIME!!!
What my time mind is trying to say is that THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!
But...
IT ENDED WAY TOO SOON!!!
I actually stared at that last blank page for about 5 minutes wondering...
"Where are the words?! What happened next?! I NEED TO KNOW!!!!"
It took quite awhile for me to realize that no words will magically appear if I stare at it...

And that, my friend, is why I only gave this book 4 stars (and may or may not have had a nervous breakdown)

I apologize to those pour souls that read this.

I hereby give this book:
4 Wheels!
Meaning: It was amazing!
